Quality Child Development Initiatives
What Is It?
The Quality Child Development Initiative, supported in part by the Mary Black Foundation, provides educational opportunities, technical assistance and mentoring to child development centers in Spartanburg County.
The Quality Institute provides training and mentoring for child development directors and their staff to increase their knowledge of quality care and education for children birth to 5 years old. The program includes monthly director meetings, early childhood conferences, specialized training and classroom makeovers to create age-appropriate learning environments.
Who Is Participating?
Currently nine child development centers are enrolled in the Quality Institute.

- Miss Tammy's Little Learning Center
- Mother Goose Child Development Center
- Loving Care Academy I
- Loving Care Academy II
- Eastside Community Learning Center
- Precious Little Angels
- Kids World
- Boiling Springs Child Care II
The Quality Continuation Academy is a program designed to offer support through quarterly meetings for child development centers that have completed the requirements of the Quality Institute and earned an Environmental Rating Scale score of 4.0 or higher.
